The Bronx-born singer and songwriter combines enthusiasm, talent, and hard work to his music, and his effort has begun to receive excellent traction.
During his formative years, Marq’s life was full of troubles. It placed him on a trajectory that almost led him astray. However, Marq got to a point where he decided to dream again and not let his past determine his future. In the fall of 2020, Marq began recording his first single, 52 the Ave, a song about his neighborhood and its complexities.
52 the Ave by Marq enjoyed massive approvals from all quarters, and Marq decided to delve deeper into music, releasing “Trouble Life” and “Letter to Myself,” where Marq shares insights about his life: his past, struggles, fears, and regrets. Marq’s fanbase enjoyed exponential growth with every release and relentlessly served new music to keep them thrilled.
He switched to reggae dancehall productions, and music vocabulary changed as well. In his new genre, Marq released a hit single titled “Whine Ya Waist,” and six other songs were released in quick succession, including “Dangerous” and “My Type.” An exceptional trait in Marq, which is attributed to his growing fanbase, is that he spends a lot of time interacting and maintaining a steady relationship with fans.
Speaking about his relationship with fans, Marq had this to say, “I want to give them what they want. I want my fans to know that whatever songs I put out are aimed to make them feel good and happy. Recently, I have been getting message requests, not even from New York, about the song ‘Need Somebody.’ I am not going to lie, ‘Need Somebody’ is one of my favorite songs cause you never know when you need somebody to just be there for you through thick and thin. I really want people to relate to every song I release.”
Although Marq has been silent for a while, the artist has promised fans that he would be back with something bigger. Fans should expect nothing short of the best as Marq is poised to hit the tops of music charts, sign a major record deal, and impact the lives of people around him.
